Original sentence:  The dog sat on the mat.

 

A (adjective) The shaggy dog sat on the comfy mat.
N (noun) The shaggy labrador sat on the comfy rug.
V (verb) The shaggy labrador curled up on the comfy rug.
A (adverb) The shaggy labrador sleepily curled up on the comfy rug.
C (conjunction) The shaggy labrador sleepily curled up on the comfy rug because he had just been for a four mile walk.
C (change)

After his four mile walk, the shaggy labrador curled up on the comfy rug.
