Last term one of Gladstone Park Primary School’s year 5 classes had the opportunity to work on The Primary Shakespeare Project. The class studied Julius Caesar and with the help of director John Eastman performed a scene alongside other North London schools.
The children committed themselves to learn their lines and to develop their acting skills over the term culminating in a performance at Capital City Academy attended by Mrs Anterkyi and the children’s’ family members. It was inspirational to see the children's confidence grow over the term and the impact this had on all aspects of their learning.
The class was awarded – ‘Excellence in Engagement’ from the organisers and the school was presented with the mounted photo below.
