COVID 19 information for parents

COVID Advice September 2021

If your child tests positive, they need to self-isolate but no one else unless they are an adult close contact that is not double vaccinated. However, close contacts should take a PCR test to check they are not infected.

If an adult in your house tests positive, children under the age of 18 do not need to self-isolate. As long as they are not displaying symptoms nor have a positive test result they should continue to come into school. We suggest you get a PCR test for your child to put your minds at rest, although we cannot insist that you do so. Whilst waiting for the results of the test the child can still attend school.

Although there is no requirement for close contacts to self-isolate, we feel it is appropriate to let parents and staff know when we are notified of a positive case.
