All governors are appointed on the basis of their skills. Ongoing training and support is provided.

The LGB are accountable to the Board with specific delegation for strategy, monitoring, oversight and challenge within their school.
The LGB have 3 key responsibilities:
The delegated responsibilities of the LGB are detailed on the Trust Scheme of Delegation in force for the current Academic Year and sub divided into three core functions:
The LGB has no further permanent standing committees however working groups or panels may be convened if required.
