Read the pages about the rainforest,

 

looking carefully at the illustration, identifying animals and things you know.

Collect words and phrases to capture the sense of what it would be like to be in the rainforest;

What could you hear? see? smell?

How does it feel to be there?

Write your responses of what the rainforest is like.

Using the picture

 

Collect words and phrases around the rainforest picture – using their senses to describe the scene.

Use the word bank to help

Write a couple of sentences describing what the rainforest is like

If you are confident have a go at writing a paragraph.

Remember to:

Use noun phrases

Describe what you can see, hear, smell, feel

Use full stops, capital letters and commas in your sentences.
