This week we are going to introduce quarters to children. This is a new topic for the children that we haven't previously learned so some children might need to do more practical activities before they do the worksheets. If your child needs more time before they attempt the worksheets that is absolutely fine, make sure that you work at their pace.
The Powerpoint slides that you can use to teach your child are now in two formats, one without the answers and one with. You might want to wish to start with the one without the answers and check with the other to assess whether your child understands the topic.
The worksheets don't need to be printed out; when children copy the questions in their workbooks they are also learning number formation, mathematical signs and are at the same time thinking about a question and the answer.
We added some reasoning problems for those children that need an extra challenge. Have fun!
