Thank you for your patience during the current situation regarding wider school opening at Gladstone Park.
I have been aware of your support as well as your frustrations through your emails and telephone conversations that I have had in recent days.
As you may be aware, due to staffing limitations it has been extremely challenging trying to maximise the number of children we have back in school whilst maintaining the high level of safety for all which is, of course, essential.
I’m very pleased to say that we are now in a position to welcome back Reception children on Monday 22nd June but, disappointingly, we will not be able to open wider than Reception. The national situation around the wider reopening of schools is still very fluid, and we will continue to adapt our approach as the guidance evolves. We very much hope this will mean we may be able to being more children back before the end of this term, but at this point we just don’t know if this will be the case. We will, of course, keep you informed as and when things develop.
In the meantime, our teachers will continue to provide the online learning that the majority of children have been using well and they will also continue to make contact as often as possible. However, for those teachers who will be coming into school this may be less frequent moving forwards, as they will have limited time due to being in school all day. I would ask for your understanding and please feel free to email teachers directly.
Please continue to take care of yourselves and each other.
