Dear Year 6,
Happy Monday! With only two more days to go until the end of the academic year, this may be quite an emotional time for many of you (and us), because of course, from September you will all be starting your new secondary school. The Year 6 team would like to take this opportunity to say a few thank you's. Firstly, thank you to the children who, despite so much change and uncertainty, have continued to show their enthusiasm for learning and have persisted with their learning at home; and thank you to the parents and carers for supporting your children to learn at home and make the best of this unusual situation.
We know that there is a long summer holiday ahead and we hope that you all (children and adults) get plenty of time to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and continue to enjoy each other's company. We have put some activities up for the next two days, and on Wednesday, we will be putting some summer holiday work up on the website and Google Classroom for you to do if you wish, though this does not need to be submitted and teachers will not be marking it.
The Year 6 teachers would like to take this opportunity to say well done for your achievements this year, and we wish you all the best for secondary school and the future! We will miss you!
